AI Highlighter finds the genuinely new and important AI-world sentences on any web page and paints them right on the page in bright color — then gives you a skimmable reading list and a short briefing in the side panel. Built for people who follow AI news every day.

• Any language — summaries follow the page's language automatically, or force one (e.g. always German).
• Per-tab + pop-out — the panel matches the tab you're on; pop it into its own window for screen-sharing or a second monitor.
• Persistent — highlights are saved per URL and repaint on reload, with no re-scan and no extra cost.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Manual only — nothing is sent anywhere until you click the icon, press the shortcut, or hit Rescan.
• Your API key is stored only in your browser, on your device. It is never synced, never sent to us, and we run no server.
• When you scan, the page text goes straight from your browser to the AI provider you chose — and nowhere else.
• No account, no analytics, no tracking.

HOW TO USE
1. Install, open Options, pick a provider and paste your own API key (from Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google), and click Test key.
2. Open an article and click the toolbar icon (or press Alt+Shift+H).
3. Skim the side panel, click any item to jump to it on the page, and 👍/👎 to teach it your taste.

Requires your own API key from a supported provider. Your provider's standard usage rates apply.
