About
Stop writing UI tests by hand. GlassQA Recorder captures your clicks, form inputs, and page navigation as you browse — then converts everything into structured, test-ready data you can export as Playwright test files. How it works: 1. Click the GlassQA icon and press Record 2. Interact with any website — click buttons, fill forms, navigate between pages 3. Press Stop and export your recording as a JSON file 4. Optional: Launch the local dashboard to visualize and run tests What makes it different: • Works on any website — no configuration or setup required • Captures semantic data (ARIA roles, accessible names, test IDs) for resilient selectors • Generates multi-strategy fallback selectors so tests don't break when the DOM changes • Handles navigation-causing clicks, dropdown menus, and dynamic content automatically • Exports clean, readable JSON files • Optional local dashboard for visualizing and running your recorded tests Built for developers who want fast, reliable UI test coverage without writing boilerplate. GlassQA uses the same selector strategies recommended by Playwright's best practices: test IDs first, then ARIA roles, then text content, with CSS fallbacks as a last resort. Privacy first: All data stays on your device. No accounts, no tracking, no external servers. The recorder only activates when you press Record — it never runs in the background. Get started: 1. Install the extension 2. Click "Open Dashboard" to see setup instructions for the optional CLI 3. Or just use the recorder to export JSON files directly
