    description
Stash — your calm personal start page for Chrome.

A thoughtful replacement for the new tab page. One quiet, beautiful place to organize the things you actually use every day: the links you keep losing, the notes you keep forgetting, the habits you want to build, and a focus timer that stays out of your way.

Everything is stored locally on your device. No account, no sign-in, no tracking, no analytics. Your data never leaves Chrome.

    — LINKS & NOTES —
    • Save links with categories, pin favorites, sort by manual / alphabetical / most clicked / unread first
    • Reading list: links default to unread, marked with a small accent dot; mark read by clicking or via the right-click menu
    • Notes and tasks with Markdown — bold, italic, code, links, lists, hashtags, and clickable inline [ ] checkboxes you can tick off
    • Six per-note colors for visual sorting (warm, cool, green, pink, purple, gray)
    • Note templates: Daily journal, Meeting notes, Weekly review — and you can add your own
    • Drag to reorder; click to edit; right-click for pin / copy URL / remove
    • One-click Undo toast after any delete

    — HABITS —
    • Daily, weekdays, weekends, M·W·F, or T·T·S schedules — streaks only count scheduled days
    • Goal streaks with a progress ring (e.g. "30-day goal")
    • GitHub-style year heatmap shows your full habit history at a glance

    — FOCUS TIMER —
    • Floating Pomodoro pill in the bottom corner with a smooth progress ring around its border
    • Customizable work and break minutes
    • Four ambient end-sounds (Off / Bell / Chime / Soft) generated locally via Web Audio
    • Persists across reloads — start a session and switch tabs without losing it
    • All-time stats (sessions, total focus time, best 7-day run, average per day) via the command palette

    — SEARCH DONE RIGHT —
    • Type to filter your stash live
    • "/word" — local search across links, notes, and habits, even when a web engine is selected
    • "= 24 * 7" — instant math (supports sqrt, sin/cos, log, pi, e, parens, powers)
    • Custom search engines with bang prefixes: y! for YouTube, w! for Wikipedia, gh! for GitHub, m! for Maps — add your own
    • Default engine: Stash, Google, DuckDuckGo, or Bing

    — POWER-USER SHORTCUTS —
    • Cmd/Ctrl + K — fuzzy command palette across links, notes, categories, actions, AND your Chrome bookmarks
    • l — add link · n — add note · h — add habit · t — start/stop focus timer
    • / — focus search bar · Esc — close any open panel

    — PERSONALIZATION —
    • Six theme presets (Library, Ocean, Forest, Dusk, Sand, Paper) — dark and light
    • Six accent colors and three card sizes (Compact, Comfortable, Spacious)
    • Three container widths (Narrow, Normal, Wide)
    • Animated drift background (optional) or custom background image upload
    • Drag-reorder all on-page sections (clock, greeting, date, quote, focus input, habits, top sites, links, notes…)
    • 12 / 24 hour time format, or auto

    — WORKSPACES —
    • Switch between Personal, Work, or any number of separate stashes
    • Each workspace has its own links, notes, habits, AND theme — flip the entire vibe with one click

    — EXTRAS —
    • Today's focus input ("What's your focus today?") that resets at midnight
    • Countdown to any date (vacation, deadline, birthday) — "47 days until ___"
    • Daily quote from a curated collection
    • Optional weather widget (Open-Meteo, free, no API key needed)
    • Top sites from Chrome history (optional, opt-in)
    • Recently closed tabs section (optional, opt-in)
    • Weekly stats panel — Pomodoros completed, focus time, habits checked, links added
