About
You have 200 customers to follow up with. Each one needs a personalized message on WhatsApp. You open WhatsApp Web, search for the first contact, type the message, hit send, then search for the next one. Copy, paste, repeat.
By contact number 15, you have lost your rhythm. By number 30, you start pasting the wrong name. By number 50, you have spent two hours and you are only a quarter of the way through.
This is the reality for anyone who uses WhatsApp Web for customer communication, follow-ups, or outreach. There is no built-in way to message multiple contacts at once. Every interaction is manual, one at a time.
WHY MESSAGING MULTIPLE CONTACTS IS SO PAINFUL
WhatsApp was designed for personal conversations, not business operations. But millions of small businesses, freelancers, and agencies rely on it daily.
- No way to send the same message to multiple contacts without forwarding (which looks impersonal and gets flagged)
- No mail merge or template system for personalization
- No progress tracking to know who received your message and who did not
- No scheduling or pacing to avoid triggering rate limits
Most people resort to copy-pasting manually, or forwarding messages which strips the personal feel. Both approaches waste time and produce poor results.
WA Bulk Sender solves this by turning WhatsApp Web into a messaging tool that handles multiple contacts with personalization, pacing, and tracking.
WHAT THIS EXTENSION DOES
WA Bulk Sender adds a side panel directly inside WhatsApp Web. You load your contact list, write a message template, and the extension sends each message individually, as if you typed and sent it yourself.
No external apps. No phone number registration. No API keys. It works right inside the WhatsApp Web tab you already have open.
Here is what you get:
Spreadsheet Import - Upload a CSV or Excel file with phone numbers and any additional columns. Drag and drop or browse to select your file. The extension detects the phone number column automatically.
Paste Numbers - If you do not have a spreadsheet, paste phone numbers directly, one per line.
Message Templates - Write your message once, using variables like {{name}} or {{company}} that get replaced with each contact's data. Use {{name|friend}} to set a fallback value when the column is empty.
Live Preview - See exactly what the first recipient will receive before you start. No guessing.
Smart Delays - Each message is spaced out with a configurable delay (5, 8, 12, or 20 seconds) plus random jitter to mimic natural typing patterns. This helps protect your account from rate-limiting.
Session Pause - After 50 messages in a row, the extension pauses automatically and waits for you to resume. This is a safety measure to prevent account restrictions.
Progress Tracking - Watch the send progress in real time. Each contact shows sent, failed, or skipped status. The progress bar and counters update live as messages go out.
Pause, Resume, and Stop - Full control at any time. Pause mid-campaign to take a break. Resume where you left off. Stop completely if you change your mind.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Open WhatsApp Web and make sure you are logged in
2. Click the green button in the bottom-right corner to open the side panel
3. Upload your contact list (CSV or Excel) or paste phone numbers
4. Write your message template with optional personalization variables
5. Adjust delay settings if needed (defaults are safe for most users)
6. Click Start Sending
The extension handles the rest. It opens each contact's chat, types the message, sends it, waits the configured delay, then moves to the next contact. You can watch the progress or minimize the panel and let it work.
WHY A SIDE PANEL INSTEAD OF A POPUP
Browser extension popups close the moment you click anywhere else on the page. That is a problem for a tool that needs to stay open while WhatsApp Web is active.
The side panel stays visible alongside your chats. You can see progress, pause sending, or adjust settings without losing your place. It does not interfere with the WhatsApp interface and you can collapse it when you do not need it.
REAL SCENARIOS WHERE THIS HELPS
Customer Follow-ups:
You run a small online store and 80 customers placed orders this week. You want to send each one a thank-you message with their name. Instead of 80 manual messages, load your order export, write one template, and send.
Event Invitations:
You are organizing a community event and need to invite 150 members on WhatsApp. Each message includes their name and a personalized detail. Upload the member list, write the invitation once, and let the extension handle delivery.
Appointment Reminders:
Your clinic has 40 appointments tomorrow. Each patient needs a reminder with their name and time slot. Export the schedule, use {{name}} and {{time}} variables, and send all reminders in one session.
Real Estate Outreach:
You have a list of 60 property leads from a recent open house. Each prospect needs a follow-up message mentioning the property they visited. One template, one upload, 60 personalized messages.
Freelancer Client Updates:
You manage 25 ongoing projects and need to send weekly progress updates. Write the update once with {{project}} and {{status}} variables, load your client spreadsheet, and every client gets a tailored message.
WHAT THIS EXTENSION DOES NOT DO
- It does not access your WhatsApp account credentials or session data
- It does not store or transmit your contacts or messages to any external server
- It does not run in the background when you close WhatsApp Web
- It does not use any unofficial WhatsApp API or modify WhatsApp's code
All data (contact lists, templates, send progress) is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage. Nothing leaves your machine.
The only permissions it uses:
- storage - To save your campaign progress, settings, and daily usage counter locally in the browser
- alarms - To keep the background process alive during long send sessions so messages continue without interruption
- tabs - To open and navigate the WhatsApp Web tab when starting a campaign
- Host permission (web.whatsapp.com) - The extension only runs on WhatsApp Web. It needs access to this site to add the side panel and interact with the chat interface
FREE TIER
The free plan includes 20 messages per day. The counter resets every 24 hours. For most small follow-up tasks, this is enough.
Your daily usage is shown in the side panel header and in the popup. When you reach the limit, the extension pauses your campaign and notifies you.
WHO THIS IS FOR
- Small business owners who use WhatsApp for customer communication
- Freelancers who send updates or follow-ups to multiple clients
- Event organizers who need to invite or remind large groups
- Sales teams doing personalized outreach through WhatsApp
- Anyone who sends the same type of message to many contacts regularly
GETTING STARTED
Install the extension, open WhatsApp Web, and click the green button. Upload a list, write a message, press start. Your first campaign can be running in under two minutes.
