When you open a car listing, the extension detects the page and places a small “Generate Report” button on it. Clicking the button opens a new browser tab with a Specsnag report for that car.
The report is generated automatically and includes facts, known issues, and inspection guidance based on the model and year.

You don’t need to sign up or create an account. It just works when you click.

🛠️ Privacy and permissions
The extension only reads the current vehicle page you’re viewing.
When you click the “Generate Report” button, it sends that page’s URL to specsnag.com so the report can be built. No personal data is collected, stored, or shared by the extension. You can disable or remove it at any time through Chrome’s Extensions menu.

🌍 Supported websites
The button appears automatically on most structured car listing sites, such as Auto Trader, eBay Motors, Motors.co.uk, CarGurus, and major dealership sites.

Support will expand over time.

If you find a site where the button doesn’t appear, you can right click to add the site to Specsnag's whitelist. If you still don't see a button, you can copy the link into specsnag.com manually and get the same report.
