HOW IT WORKS

1. Open any product page on Target.com
2. Click SCAN — the extension reads all product data instantly
3. Click IMPORT — the product is sent directly to your WooCommerce store

The extension works as a Chrome Side Panel, staying open beside the Target page while you browse.


WHAT GETS IMPORTED

• Product title
• Price (auto-detected from the live page)
• Full product description
• Bullet point features and specifications
• High-resolution product images (up to 2000×2000 px)
• Product variations — Size, Color, and other attributes
• Brand name
• Category and breadcrumb path
• Target product ID (TCIN)


SMART IMAGE EXTRACTION

Images are pulled from multiple sources in priority order: structured product data, JSON-LD schema, og:image meta tags, and the live product gallery. Only real product photos are imported — recommendation carousels, swatches, and unrelated banners are filtered out automatically. A hard cap of 15 images keeps the import clean.


AUTO-SCAN & SMART RETRY

When you open the Side Panel on a Target product page, scanning starts automatically — no manual click needed. If Target's page is still loading prices or images, the extension retries automatically up to two times so you always get complete data.

This Chrome extension works as the front end of a two-part system. The required back end is the AD IMPORTER plugin for WordPress/WooCommerce, available on Codester.

The plugin handles everything on your WordPress site:
• Downloads and sideloads all product images into your media library
• Creates the WooCommerce product with all variations (size, color, etc.)
• Assigns the product to the correct category
• Stores the Target product ID (TCIN) for duplicate detection
• Supports simple and variable product types


SETUP

1. Purchase and install the AD IMPORTER plugin on your WordPress/WooCommerce site (available on Codester)
2. In the plugin settings, copy your secret password
3. Open this extension, go to the Settings tab
4. Enter your WordPress site URL and the secret password
5. Browse to any Target.com product page — the extension auto-scans
6. Click IMPORT to send the product to your store


PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED

• target.com — to read product data from the page you are viewing
• Your WordPress site — to send product data directly to your own store
• Side Panel — to show the import interface alongside the page
• Storage — to save your WordPress URL and secret key locally
• Active Tab & Scripting — to run the product scanner on the current tab

No data is sent to any third-party server. All communication is only between your browser and your own WordPress site.
