About
Open Bookmarks One by One helps you open large bookmark folders without flooding Chrome with a sudden burst of tabs. Instead of opening every bookmark at once, the extension opens them one by one with a configurable delay. This makes it easier to work through large reading lists, research folders, saved sessions, and resource collections without freezing Chrome or overwhelming your computer. How it works: - Save one or more bookmark folders in the popup. - Start a run for any saved folder. - The extension opens each bookmark gradually instead of all at once. - You can monitor progress and control the run directly from the popup. Main features: - Save multiple bookmark folders for quick access. - Open bookmarks sequentially instead of all at once. - Set a global default delay between tabs. - Override the delay for individual saved folders. - Include or exclude subfolders for each saved folder. - Pause, resume, or stop an active run at any time. - See live progress, including how many tabs were opened and how many remain. - Keep everything stored locally in Chrome. Why it is useful: - Prevents tab explosions when opening large bookmark folders. - Reduces the chance of Chrome slowing down when many pages are launched together. - Makes large bookmark collections more practical to use. - Gives you more control over how saved links are opened. Privacy: Open Bookmarks One by One works locally in your browser. It does not send your bookmarks, URLs, or settings to external servers. Permissions: - bookmarks: needed to let you choose bookmark folders and read the links inside them - tabs: needed to open bookmarks in new tabs - storage: needed to save your folders, preferences, and run state - offscreen: needed to keep delayed opening running without showing an extra tab
