About

TopTrending Trend Search helps researchers, founders, marketers, and operators check whether a topic is gaining attention while they browse the web. Instead of copying a phrase, opening a separate research tab, and starting a new search from scratch, you can turn the current page or a selected phrase into a TopTrending lookup in a few seconds.

The extension is designed for early idea validation and lightweight trend research. It is useful when you are reading product pages, newsletters, search results, launch posts, competitor sites, or market reports and want a quick signal on whether a topic has measurable momentum.

Main features:

- Search any keyword from the popup.
- Scan the current page title, H1, and meta description after clicking "Scan page".
- Right-click selected text and open a TopTrending search in a new tab.
- Open matching TopTrending trend pages from the popup.

Common ways to use it:

- Check a product category while reading a competitor website.
- Validate a startup, SaaS, or AI keyword before adding it to a content plan.
- Turn selected text from an article or report into a TopTrending search.
- Compare page-level topics against real trend suggestions without leaving your workflow.

How it works:

- Popup searches send only the keyword you type.
- Page scans run only after you click "Scan page".
- Page scans read only the page title, first H1, and meta description.
- Context menu searches run only after you choose the TopTrending action for selected text.

Privacy and control:

The extension does not require a login, does not store browser history, does not read cookies, and does not scan pages automatically. It does not run background page analysis as you navigate. Searches run only after the user types in the popup, clicks "Scan page", or chooses the context menu action.

TopTrending Trend Search is built to be a focused lookup tool: it helps you move from browsing to trend research with minimal interruption and without adding a heavy analytics layer to your browser.
