About

Pixlift copies the real images out of a Google Doc — the original, full-resolution files, not a screenshot.

Google Docs paints everything onto a canvas, so there's no image you can right-click and save, and a screen grab only ever gives you a blurry, screen-resolution copy. Pixlift gets the actual embedded image bytes instead.

HOW TO USE IT
1. Open any Google Doc that has images.
2. Click the Pixlift icon, press the shortcut (Ctrl+Shift+Y / Cmd+Shift+Y), or right-click in the doc and choose "Copy an image from this doc…".
3. A panel lists every image in the document.
4. Click an image (or its Copy button) to copy it — then paste straight into Slack, WhatsApp Web, Gmail, another doc, anywhere.

FEATURES
• Copies the original, full-resolution image — never a screenshot.
• One-click copy to clipboard as PNG (pastes reliably across apps).
• Download any single image in its original format.
• "Download all" saves every image as one ZIP.
• Images are cached for the life of the page, so re-opening the panel is instant.
• Refresh button re-reads the doc after you've edited it.

PRIVACY
Everything happens locally in your browser. Pixlift uses your existing signed-in session to read the document's own export, unzips it on your machine to find the images, and shows them to you. Nothing is sent to the developer or any third party. No analytics, no tracking, no data collection.

NOTES
• You need view access to the doc (it uses your own session).
• Only embedded images appear; images inserted as a live URL link aren't part of the export.
• Vector images (EMF/WMF) are offered as Download only — they can't be copied to the clipboard.
