Clean Copy Markdown does not run automatically on every webpage. To use it, first open the page you want to copy from, select the text or content you need, and then invoke the extension using the toolbar button, right-click menu, or available copy action.

The extension loads its copy-cleaning logic only when you choose to use it. This keeps the extension lightweight and privacy-friendly. Copied content is processed locally in your browser and is not sent to any server.

Your copied text is not sent to a server. Clipboard history, when enabled, is stored locally in your browser. License validation, if used, is only for checking access to paid features and does not send copied page content.

WHAT CLEAN COPY MARKDOWN DOES NOT DO:

Clean Copy Markdown does not summarize pages, rewrite content, collect browsing history, track your activity, sync clipboard content to the cloud, or use AI APIs.

It also does not perform OCR on scanned PDFs or image-only documents.
