      HOW IT WORKS

      1. Install NoStack and click Connect to Notion
      2. Authorize via OAuth and pick your database (or let NoStack create one)
      3. Navigate to any Substack article and click Save to Notion
      4. Done. Full article in your Notion database.

      ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

      FEATURES

      ▸ One-Click Save
Click the NoStack icon on any Substack article page. Hit Save to Notion. The entire article — title, author, publication, summary, body content with all formatting and images — lands in your Notion database as structured blocks.

▸ Save from the Notes Feed
On the Substack home feed, click the three-dot menu (⋯) on any note. NoStack injects a "Save to Notion" option right into the dropdown. Click it. A toast confirms the save. No popups, no friction.

      ▸ Auto-Save Mode
Toggle auto-save in Settings. When enabled, NoStack automatically saves any Substack article you read for more than 30 seconds. A countdown indicator appears in the corner of the page. When it hits zero, the article saves itself. Your reading builds your knowledge base
      without you lifting a finger.

      ▸ Already Saved Indicator
A green checkmark badge appears on the NoStack icon when you're viewing a page you've already saved. The popup shows "Already Saved" so you never accidentally duplicate. Works across both URL formats — the same article at substack.com/home/post/... and
author.substack.com/p/... is recognized as one post using Substack's unique post ID.

      ▸ Database Auto-Creation
No manual Notion setup required. After connecting, NoStack can create a properly structured database for you with the right columns: Name, Author, Publication, Summary, and Link. One click.

      ▸ Public Reading List
Share what you're reading. Toggle sharing in Settings to generate a public link at share.nostack.space. Anyone with the link can browse your saved articles — titles, authors, summaries, and links to the originals. Disable anytime to remove instantly.

      ▸ Cross-Device Sync
Install NoStack on another device, connect the same Notion account, and your saved article history syncs automatically. On startup, NoStack pulls your saved URLs from Notion so the Already Saved indicator works everywhere.

      ▸ Dark and Light Mode
The popup UI matches your preference. Toggle between dark mode (black and orange industrial aesthetic) and light mode (cream and dark). Your choice persists across sessions.

      ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

      WHAT GETS SAVED

Every article is captured as structured Notion content:

      • Title, Author, Publication name → Database properties
      • Paragraphs → With bold, italic, and link formatting preserved
      • H2 and H3 Headings → Notion heading blocks
      • Images → External image blocks with captions
      • Blockquotes and Pullquotes → Notion quote blocks
      • Bulleted and Numbered Lists → Notion list blocks
      • Article Summary → From subtitle, meta description, or first 300 characters
      • Source Link → Direct URL to the original article

Articles over 100 blocks are saved in batches automatically. Nothing is truncated.

      ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

      SECURITY AND PRIVACY

NoStack is built with security as a priority:

      • OAuth Connection — No passwords stored. You authorize through Notion's official OAuth flow with CSRF protection.
      • Local Token Storage — Your Notion access token is stored in your browser only (chrome.storage.local). Never synced to the cloud, never sent to our servers.
      • Content Security Policy — The extension can only connect to api.notion.com and api.nostack.space. Nothing else.
      • Encrypted Sharing — If you enable the public reading list, your Notion token is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before storage. The share link uses a 256-bit random token.
      • No Analytics — No tracking, no telemetry, no usage data collected. Zero.
      • No Data Sales — We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone.
      • Minimal Permissions — Only requests storage, activeTab, and tabs permissions. Content scripts only run on substack.com pages.
