BioBridge is a browser extension prototype designed to explore how biometric authentication can improve the usability and security of traditional website logins. The project focuses on reducing password fatigue, minimizing password reuse, and improving transparency in authentication systems through a user-centered design approach. Features included in the prototype: • Biometric-inspired login workflow • Login form detection • Recovery email fallback system • Local credential handling concepts • Companion transparency website • Research-informed and survey-driven design BioBridge was developed as a university cybersecurity and usability project exploring the relationship between authentication, privacy, trust, and user experience. Disclaimer: This prototype is intended for educational and research purposes and is not currently a production-ready security solution.
