About

Detour is a simple, intuitive proxy switcher. Toggle a proxy on or off from the toolbar popup — no need to dig through your system network settings.

Features
• Supports HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4 and SOCKS5 proxies
• Username/password authentication for HTTP and HTTPS proxies
• Bypass list — keep chosen hosts on a direct connection:
   - <local> localhost and single-label hostnames
   - <private> private networks (RFC 1918, link-local, IPv6 ULA/loopback)
   - 10.0.0.0/8 CIDR ranges (IPv4 and IPv6)
   - *.example.com domains and subdomains
• One-click "Test connection" that reports your exit IP
• Automatic light / dark theme

Privacy
Detour collects no data. Your proxy settings and credentials stay in your browser's local storage and are never sent anywhere.

Note: Chromium-based browsers cannot authenticate SOCKS proxies (a browser limitation) — username/password are ignored for SOCKS there.
