About
Be Well x Plato UI/UX Enhancement is a Chrome extension built for Be Well Medical Center in Hua Hin, Thailand. It enhances the Plato Medical queue management system with visual improvements, workflow reminders, and safety checks that help front desk staff work faster and with fewer errors. This extension is designed for internal clinic use only. — QUEUE PAGE FEATURES — Provider Name Display Provider codes like W01 or W05 are not easy to remember. This extension automatically displays the provider's name below their code in the queue table. Each provider gets a unique background color so staff can scan the queue at a glance and immediately see who is assigned to each patient. Nurse Styling Nurses are visually distinct from doctors. Nurse entries get green-themed styling with a green border, subtle glow, and a nurse icon so they stand out in the queue. Location Color-Coding Location codes BV (BelVida) and BM (Black Mountain) get color-coded backgrounds with the full location name displayed below. BelVida appears in blue, Black Mountain in gray. This makes it easy to see which clinic location each patient is assigned to. Duplicate Patient Detection When staff search for a patient to add to the queue, the extension checks if that patient is already in the queue. If a duplicate is found, a confirmation dialog appears showing the patient's name and ID, asking whether to add them again or cancel. This works whether the patient is selected by pressing Enter or by clicking on the search dropdown. This prevents accidental duplicate entries that can cause confusion during busy clinic hours. Duplicate Visit Numbering When a patient does appear multiple times in the queue (intentionally), each occurrence gets a visit number (1, 2, 3...) displayed on the row. Numbers are ordered by queue position so staff can tell which visit is which. Patient Profile Formatting The patient info bar at the top of the screen gets improved formatting. Age displays as "X years" in bold, and gender is color-coded: blue for Male, pink for Female. This makes patient demographics easier to read at a glance. — APPOINTMENTS PAGE FEATURES — Contact Information Reminder When staff types a placeholder name for a new patient (instead of selecting an existing patient from the system), the Handphone and Email fields highlight in orange if both are empty. A reminder message appears: "Don't forget to ask for a phone number or email!" The highlight disappears as soon as a phone number or email is entered. If a real patient is selected from the dropdown, the reminder clears automatically. Appointment Details Reminder After staff finishes entering a patient name, if the appointment details textarea is empty, it gets a subtle blue highlight and the placeholder text changes to "Don't forget to note down appointment details..." This reminds staff to record the reason for the appointment. The highlight clears as soon as anything is typed in the field. Branch/Location Save Check When staff clicks Save without selecting either BelVida or Black Mountain as the branch/location, a confirmation dialog warns them. They can press Cancel to go back and select a location, or OK to save without one. This prevents appointments from being saved without a location, which can cause scheduling issues. — POPUP SETTINGS — Name Display Format Staff can choose how provider names appear in the queue: • First name only (e.g., "Paemika") • First name + last initial (e.g., "Paemika P.") • Full name (e.g., "Paemika Pidchayathan") Provider List The popup displays all active providers with their codes, names, and color assignments. An optional "Show Inactive" toggle reveals providers who are no longer active at the clinic. Colors are consistent between the popup and the queue display. Location Codes The popup shows the two clinic locations with their color assignments for reference. Reload and Refresh Staff can reload provider data or refresh the page directly from the popup without navigating to browser settings. — TECHNICAL DETAILS — • Chrome Extension Manifest V3 • No external servers or APIs — all data is bundled with the extension • Provider data stored in chrome.storage.sync for fast access • No user data is collected or transmitted • Works exclusively with the Plato Medical system at clinic.platomedical.com
