Faster supercharges your downloads by handing them off to the Faster desktop app — a companion download accelerator you install on your own computer.

When you start a download in your browser, Faster intercepts it and sends it to the local app, which fetches the file over multiple parallel connections instead of one. Big files finish dramatically faster, and the browser's duplicate download is cancelled automatically so nothing downloads twice.

PRIVACY
Faster collects nothing. It has no servers and no analytics. Download URLs are passed only to the Faster app running locally on the same machine, over Chrome Native Messaging — never over the network, never to any third party.

REQUIRES
The Faster desktop application must be installed and running. The extension is the browser-side bridge; the app does the downloading.
