How it Works

1. Compose your email in Gmail as usual.
2. Click the "Send with Evidence" button added by the extension.
3. The extension generates a structured evidence record containing relevant metadata and integrity information.
4. A cryptographic SHA-256 fingerprint is created for verification purposes.
5. A public evidence record is generated and published to content-addressed storage.
6. You receive an Evidence ID and supporting records for future reference.

Retention Notice

Public Evidence Records are published to content-addressed storage and are currently retained for a minimum period of six (6) months from creation. After this period, continued availability is not guaranteed. Users requiring longer retention should subscribe to a Premium Plan when available. To ensure long-term preservation, users should download and retain their own copies of all Evidence Records they wish to keep.
