Pollen captures form data from one website and uses it to fill forms on another — even when the two sites have nothing in common. AI handles the field mapping once, then caches it. Deterministic code does the actual filling in milliseconds.

WHY POLLEN IS NOT A BROWSER AGENT

Autonomous AI agents are slow (30-120s per form), expensive ($0.10-$1.00 per run), and non-deterministic. They click around, hallucinate, and fail silently. That's the wrong tool for form filling.

Pollen uses heuristics for the mechanical work — DOM walks, label resolution, event dispatch — and a single AI call for what AI is actually good at: semantic mapping between "E-mail" on one site and "Contact Address" on another. That call runs once per source/target pair, then is cached forever. Result: first fill in ~2 seconds, every subsequent fill in ~200 milliseconds, for free.
