  Letterboxd Localized enhances your Letterboxd experience by 
  pulling localized data from TMDB and displaying it directly 
  on the pages you browse — no tab switching, no copy-pasting.
  
  FEATURES
  
  Localized titles
  Translated titles appear on poster tooltips, film pages and 
  review headers. Useful when browsing lists with films from 
  other countries.
  
  Localized synopsis
  The film synopsis is replaced with a localized version in 
  your chosen language. A toggle lets you switch back to the 
  original at any time.
  
  Cast photo grid
  The top 10 cast members are displayed with their photos 
  above the standard Letterboxd cast list.
  
  Streaming availability
  A streaming panel shows where the film is available in your 
  country (subscription, rent or buy), pulled from TMDB and 
  filtered by your selected language region.
  
  Localized trailer
  A trailer link appears when a version exists in your 
  language on YouTube. If no localized trailer is found, 
  nothing is shown.
  
  Subtitle search
  A direct link to OpenSubtitles opens a pre-filtered search 
  using the film's IMDb ID and your selected language.
  
  SETUP
  
  This extension requires a free TMDB API key (v3 auth).
  Instructions are available directly in the extension popup 
  under the "API Help" tab — it takes about two minutes.
  
  LANGUAGES
  
  Supports 57 languages available on TMDB, including French, 
  English, Spanish, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, 
  and many more.
  
  PRIVACY
  
  No data is collected or transmitted beyond what is needed 
  to query the TMDB API. Your API key is stored locally in 
  your browser and never shared.

  Letterboxd is an incredible platform — but all titles, synopses and metadata are displayed in English by default. This extension connects to The Movie Database (TMDB) to automatically fetch localized data in your language and inject it directly into Letterboxd, without any extra clicks.

  • Cast photo grid — A visual grid of the top 10 cast members (photos + character names) is added directly to each film page, so you can put faces to names instantly.
  
  • Streaming availability — Know where to watch before you commit. The extension adds a panel showing where each film is available to stream, rent or buy in your country (Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Apple TV+, and more), sourced from JustWatch via TMDB.
  
  • Localized trailer — A direct link to the trailer in your language (when available on YouTube via TMDB).
  
  • Watchlist streaming icons — Small streaming service badges appear directly on your watchlist posters, so you can see at a glance which films are available right now.
  
  • Subtitles shortcut — A direct link to OpenSubtitles is added to each film page, pre-filtered by language and IMDb ID.

  The extension requires a free TMDB API key (takes 2 minutes to get). A step-by-step guide is included in the extension popup.
  
  All data is fetched directly from TMDB and cached locally in your browser — no data is ever sent to any third-party server.
