About

Type with your voice — on every website.

VoiceType adds a sleek floating microphone to every page. Click into any text
field, tap the mic, and speak: your words appear in real time, right where
your cursor is. It works in comment boxes, email composers, search bars,
forms, CRMs, and rich-text editors.

WHY VOICETYPE

🎙️ Works everywhere — inputs, textareas, and contenteditable editors on any
website, with no per-site setup.

⚡ Real-time — see your words appear as you speak, with interim results
rendered live and finalized text committed smoothly.

🌍 95+ languages and dialects — from English (US/UK/India/…) to French,
Arabic, Spanish, Mandarin, Hindi, Japanese and more. Pick your language from
a searchable menu; it syncs across all your devices.

🖱️ Never in the way — drag the mic anywhere on screen; VoiceType remembers
where you put it.

🔒 Private by design — VoiceType has no servers and no analytics. Speech is
processed by your browser's built-in speech engine. The only things stored
are your language choice and the widget position.

✅ Plays nicely with modern web apps — dictated text triggers proper input
events, so React, Vue, and Angular sites register it exactly like typing.

HOW TO USE

1. Click into any text field on a page
2. Click the floating mic (it turns teal and pulses while listening)
3. Speak — your words appear at your cursor
4. Click the mic again to stop

Choose your dictation language anytime from the toolbar icon.

NOTES

- Chrome will ask for microphone permission the first time you dictate on a
site — this is a standard browser security prompt.
- Requires a browser with the Web Speech API (Google Chrome recommended).
