X2Markdown is a lightweight Chrome extension that helps you turn x.com posts into clean, readable Markdown in one step. Once installed, you can right-click a supported post on x.com and copy it as Markdown for research, note-taking, writing, archiving, and content collection workflows. Key features: - Copy posts as Markdown from tweet detail pages - Right-click and copy the current post directly from the timeline - Extract author, handle, publish time, post URL, and post body - Preserve quoted-post structure when available - Include image links for easier archiving - Automatically expand truncated posts before copying when “Show more” is available - Runtime UI supports both Chinese and English Great for: - Saving x.com content into Obsidian, Notion, Logseq, or local notes - Archiving research material, news references, and market observations - Preparing clean source material for writing, translation, or summarization - Keeping quoted-post context in a reusable format Why use it: - Fast and simple right-click workflow - Clean Markdown output that is easy to edit - Built around stable page structures where possible - Processes the current page locally in your browser Current limitations: - Focused on x.com post extraction - Videos and GIFs are not exported as playable media files - Some posts may stop working if x.com changes its page structure significantly This is an open-source project.
