  HOW IT WORKS

  1. Click the BID icon in your toolbar
  2. Type or paste a product name (just the name — no .com needed)
  3. See domain, GitHub, and trademark status, plus any overlapping ideas already in the BID database

  - No tracking, no analytics, no cookies

  - No data sent to any server we run, except an anonymous query to businessideasdb.com to check for
  idea matches

  ABOUT BID

  The Business Ideas Database (businessideasdb.com) is a curated library of validated business ideas
  sourced from real Reddit pain points, App Store gaps, and keyword demand data. Updated weekly. This
  extension is free and works standalone — but if you want validated ideas with real proof, that's
  where to look.

  PRIVACY

  The extension calls three public APIs:
  - dns.google for domain availability via DNS-over-HTTPS
  - api.github.com for GitHub username availability
  - businessideasdb.com/api/ideas/match for idea overlap (read-only, no auth)
  USPTO is opened as a deep link only, no API call.
